Exterior Wood Treatment - Important
Yakia Saunas are crafted from premium Thermowood, a heat treated timber renowned for its resistance to rot, insects, and moisture. While exceptionally durable, Thermowood will naturally weather and fade over time. To preserve its appearance and ensure long term performance, all external timber must be treated with a high quality wood preservative, immediately after installation.
Please note that failure to carry out this treatment will invalidate the warranty. Yakia recommends Ronseal Trade Total Wood Preserver (Clear) for optimal protection.

Please note: Electric heaters require a dedicated power supply. To ensure safe and compliant commissioning, a qualified electrician will need to carry out minor installation work.
Your regular plug sockets won't work for traditional electric sauna heaters, they require a completely different electrical setup. Please check with your electrician that you have enough capacity to accommodate the sauna heater at your property.
As a guide, your electrician will:
Install a new dedicated circuit from your consumer unit.
Run appropriate gauge cable to your sauna location.
Install a double-pole breaker rated for your heater.
Add a disconnect isolator switch near the sauna.
Ensure all connections are properly grounded.
Test and certify the installation.
